Marian Bell Marian Bell Marian Bell, 88, a resident of Ahwatukee since 1983, passed away on October 12, 2018, surrounded by family. A memorial celebration of Marian’s life will be held at 10:30 am on November 3rd at Mountain View Lutheran Church, 11002 S. 48th St. in Ahwatukee, followed by refreshments at the church. Marian was born November 3, 1929, in Wichita, KS and grew up in Topeka, KS. She met and married James Bell while attending Washburn University in Topeka. They moved the family to Tempe, AZ in 1966 and became ardent fans of ASU sports and the ASU community. On moving to Ahwatukee, Marian enjoyed making furniture at the ARC wood shop and quilting with the Saguaro Strippers. She leaves us with many beautiful quilts to be treasured. Marian loved to golf and she played well, winning several local tournaments. She and Jim traveled to Austria with the ARC Square Dance Club and took several overseas trips. Their favorite was to have visited all 50 states in their motorhome and spending summers in Show Low. Marian is survived by 4 daughters, Peggy Kinner, Becky Field (Stan) Kathy Jerik and Kristy Bell (Brett); 4 grandchildren, Shawn Kinner, Jessica Guenther (Eric), Payton Marovich and Austin Jerik; three great grandchildren (Kayden, Emily and Taylor Guenther), and her sister Janet Evans of Scottsdale. Marian was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, James Bell.
