Diane Adeline (Robinson) Jorstad, 95, of Mesa, AZ, formerly of North Aurora and Sheridan, IL, passed away on November 14, 2024. Diane was born to Everett B. Robinson and Mary (Louise) McGranahan, on February 10, 1929, in Chicago, IL. She graduated from Newark Community High School, in Newark, IL, where she was captain of the cheer squad, and sang solos in the school choir.

Diane married her high school sweetheart, Roger Bruce Jorstad, in 1950, in Sheridan, IL. They raised their family with love and devotion in Aurora and North Aurora, IL. They were charter members of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, in North Aurora, and both sang in the choir, where Diane was a soprano, alto or tenor, depending on the need. She was a registered nurse in Labor and Delivery for Copley Hospital in Aurora, IL, and later a school nurse for 3 elementary schools in the West Aurora School District.

Roger and Diane retired to Mesa, AZ in 1993, where they continued their life-long love affair—with each other, and the game of golf. They remained active in church work as Stephen's Ministers and loyal choir members for many years at Victory and Our Saviors Lutheran Churches.

Like her husband Roger, Diane was the last member of her family to survive. She was preceded in death by her brother Donald Reeves Robinson, mother Louise and father Everett.

She is survived by her four children: Susan Jorstad McClaran (Mitchel McClaran) of Tucson, AZ; Jon Jorstad (Rhonda Schneider) of Sahuarita, AZ; Richard Jorstad (Gaye) of Oswego, IL; and Laura Coakes of Lafayette, IN, plus nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Diane will be remembered for her strong devotion to family, and especially her childrens' education. While in Illinois, she enjoyed hosting bridge parties with friends, and always found time, when not raising four kids, to reach out to those in need. Until recent years she was amazing at sending greeting cards for ALL occasions to friends and family.

A celebration of life service is scheduled for July 2025 in Illinois.
