Mesa, Arizona - Douglas Scott Hunt, age 34, passed away on September 24, 2023. He was born on March 31, 1989 in Scottsdale, Arizona. He resided the majority of his life in Mesa, Arizona. He graduated from Red Mountain High School in 2007 and then served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He spent two years serving in the Korea Seoul West mission. After his mission he had a career in the finance industry.
Doug loved being outdoors especially when on a mountain bike or dirt bike. He loved Nascar as a kid, tinkering with cars, RC rock crawlers, and had an elaborate Hot Wheels collection.
Doug was a friend to all and touched many lives. He loved spending his days with family and friends the most. He would light up every room he entered and had everyone smiling and laughing in no time. He was always serving those around him and passed away doing just that.
Doug is survived by his parents John and Lisa Hunt, and siblings David (Shae) Hunt, Sarah (Grant) Huish, and Shelby (David) Beecher. He leaves behind two nieces and four nephews who will miss their awesome uncle.
Visitation with the family will be held Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 6:30-7:30 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 5350 East McLellan Road, Mesa, AZ 85205.
Funeral service will be held Friday, September 29, at 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 5350 East McLellan Road, Mesa, AZ 85205.
Graveside Service will be held Friday, September 29, at 1:00 PM at Mesa City Cemetery, 1212 North Center Street, Mesa, AZ 85201.
