Mesa, Arizona - Obituary of Janice Lynn Taylor
October 29, 1954 - June 21, 2020
Janice Lynn Taylor, 65, of Mesa, Arizona, died peacefully on June 21, 2020, with her loving son and niece by her side.
Janice was born on October 29, 1954, to John and Minnie Taylor in Morenci Arizona. She was the youngest of four children. Janice graduated from Antioch High School in California in 1972, and moved to Nebraska the day after graduation. Janice then moved to Arizona and graduated from Central Arizona College in 1989 and received an Associate of Applied Sciences in Nursing. Janice was a Registered Nurse, but the accomplishment she was most proud of was being a mother to her only son, Travis. Travis and her grandson were the light of her life. Janice also liked art, photography, beading/making jewelry and rosary beads, and being an aunt. Janice spent the latter part of her life taking care of her family. She also loved traveling the world with her best friend, Lois. All things brought Janice joy, and Peppa Pig was a favorite! Janice had great faith and an even greater love of God.
Survivors include her son Travis (Courtney) and grandson Treyson Taylor of Lehi, Utah, sister Norma (Ladd) Simonton of Mesa, Arizona, brother-in-law Kenneth Rahtz, nieces Jami (Tony) Aguirre, Sheryl (Tony) Herrera, and Shannon (Scott) Balster, four great-nieces (Alysa, Natalie, Evan, and Annika), and three great-nephews (Nicholas, Brandon, and Yannik). She was preceded in death by her brother Larry, sister Glenda, and her parents.
A private celebration of life will be held at Desert Hills Baptist Church in Mesa.
