Tempe, Arizona - Linda B. Ahlborn, age 76, of Jentilly Way, Tempe died Sunday, April 16, 2023 at home following a brief illness.

She was born in 1947 in Bellefonte, PA to William L. and Jeanne L. Batten.

Linda received her B.S. in elementary education from Indiana University South Bend, and attended the Graduate School of Library Science, Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA. She retired in 2010 from the Arizona State University library system. She was married (later divorced) to R. Douglas Ahlborn. She is survived by her daughter Frances Jeannette Ahlborn of Scottsdale, Arizona, and son William H. E. Ahlborn, daughter-in-law Ania Ahlborn, and grandson, Robin Alistair Ahlborn, all of Wake Forest, North Carolina. Also surviving are three sisters; Karen B. Woodworth and Margaret B. Cormican of Elkhart, Indiana, and Elizabeth A. B. North of Mishawaka, Indiana.

As a founding member, she was active in Living Faith Anglican Church, as well as the Mental Health Association of Arizona, and the Mesa East Valley Rose Society. She was a long-term participant in the Women's Bible Study, and a member of the Daughters of the Holy Cross. She also supported Friends of Channel 8, the Phoenix Art Museum, the Midwest Museum of Art in Elkhart, Indiana, and Friends of Valley Metro. She was a quiet, authentic, and deeply faithful woman who encouraged many through her loving actions. She will be remembered fondly by all those who knew her and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Memorial service will be held June 24, 2023 at Living Faith Anglican Church on Guadalupe Avenue in Tempe, Arizona. She will be interred at Living Faith Anglican Church Memorial Garden, which she helped design.
