Mesa, Arizona - Steven Reynold Russell passed away on January 5, 2021. He was born in Seattle, WA on March 28, 1966 to Sandy (Thiel) and Ralph Russell. He graduated in 1984 from Bothell High School . After he graduated, he spent the summer working with his uncle's fishing in Kodiak, Alaska.
He had three children Brian Roth, Crystal Russell (deceased) and Austin Russell, whom he loved deeply. He also had three sweet grandchildren, Alyssa Roth, Taylor Gusler and Avery LeHew. Family meant everything to him.
Steve enjoyed the Arizona weather and golfing with his friends. He loved photography and won a national award in "Black and White Magazine" https://fineartamerica.com/profiles/steve-russell. One of his special memories was when he and Steve Sexton took a trip and photographed the gun fights in Tombstone, Arizona. He also enjoyed bowling and the Seahawks. He "never met a stranger" and to know Steve was to love him.
Steve relocated to Arizona to work with his mom Sandy in real estate. He received many awards. They made a great team.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Russell, his daughter, Crystal Russell, and brother Ron Russell.
He is survived by sons, Brian Roth and Austin Russell, grandchildren Alyssa Roth, Taylor Gusler and Avery LeHew, parents Sandy and Bob Koeppen, brother Shane Koeppen, and sisters Misty Huckstead, Tammy Anderson and Barbara Ralphs.
